Problem: After learning about stickers, and what they could do, I decided it would be beneficial to create a tutorial for those curious souls out there that want to place a lobster taco onto their imessages. The goal was to give personality and celebrate the brand of Dollar Shave Club with friends, which would then get the word out on the product and increase sales.
Process: After finding what tools I had to work with, the team of engineers, and approval of the concept of a how-to video, I created multiple storyboards, tests, and research on how-to videos. I utilized my skills of UX flows/guidelines, visual component creation and organization, and creating multiple motion studies to complete a video tutorial for a new section of the Dollar Shave Club app.
Solution: The stickers tutorial page, (placed in the account section of the application), was created to inform members of Dollar Shave Club that they could spice up their messages to friends with our fun illustrations and typography. This was a simple page that gave a video tutorial for how to use a new feature that may have been hidden from most users. It was a huge success in helping to get the product visibility with a fun twist.
